Hi,
Few things not clear to me. How is this Margin Requirement quoted exactly in the Nanotrader Free DEMO?
It seems that the bottom line margin is in EURO?
The respective positions margin requirements seem to be in the second leg.
Why the discrepancy between AUDJPY and GBPJPY?
On a sidenote: Why are the Demo accounts cash balance so random? Wouldn't it be better to have this at €5000 or €2500?
Best,

Re: Margin Requirement Notation
Hi,
In regards to the margin requirements of the products nothing has changed from ProStation to NanoTrader.
The fist demo accounts have been created in base currency GBP. This might lead to the confusion.
When trading AUD/JPY, the base currency is AUD - so you need the 2% margin e.g. on 10.000 AUD.
Trading GBP/JPY, you need the 2% based on 10.000 GBP.
Kind regards
Dominic

Re: Margin Requirement Notation
Appreciate the quick reply.
Have been trading Nanotrader demo for quite some time but I never really looked at this close enough.
It makes a lot of sense what you are saying but still not completely clear to me. I've read the prospectus but it doesn't really make me any wiser.
AUDJPY position
It is AUD 17000 so margin requirement is AUD 340. It quotes the margin as 158.74. The only way I can figure out why it does this is because it is quoted in GBP? (340 / 2.14121 ~ 158.79)
EURAUD position
The only way I can get to the value of 170.69 in GBP is the following: 24000EUR * 1% Margin Requirement = 240EUR * 0.71052 ~170.5GBP
EURGBP position
15000 * 2% = 300EUR -> 300EUR * 0.7105 = 213GBP
GBPJPY position
7500 * 2% = 150 GBP * 185.9722 ~ 27900 JPY
But the bottomline is quoted in EUR right?
I know this is stuff I should know. What you say makes sense but I can't really figure out the account overview in Nanotrader. Especially the GBPJPY position?
